Instructions:

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, about 3-4 minutes.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic oil, tossing to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
  • Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley before serving.
  • Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
